This should give you a good idea of where you stand at any point in the semester.
TO USE: Simply add up how many points you have earned and divide by the total number of possible points you could have earned. Notice, however, there are several large assignments toward the end of the semester that are worth more than some of the assignments earlier in the semester. Your participation grade takes into account not only that you are present in each class, but that you come prepared and actively participate in each class activity and related discussions.
QUESTIONS/CONCERNS: If you find you are falling behind and have questions about the content, please schedule an appointment to meet with Dr. Coiro earlier (rather than later) in the semester so you can work to get back on track. The time and effort you put into understanding and being able to apply the ideas from this course will significantly improve your chances of being successful in the program, particularly as you move out to work with students in your practicum settings.
